Propaedeutics from 3 to 5 years old
The course is aimed at in the pre-school age and allows them to approach music for the first time thanks to teaching programmes, which always keeps the playful and creative aspect in mind. The children are divided into groups of 8-10 students taught by a teacher. The lessons are of one hour per week and have the ideal duration of two years. The work is carried out in groups. Children discover through interactivity with others, the pleasure of sharing an experience and an emotion. They learn to respect their own time as well as that of others, to listen and to be listened to in return, to go together with the timing of others. At the disposition of the children is a spacious room, equipped with wall-to-wall carpeting, piano, CD player and a set of Orff instruments (drums, kettledrums, triangles, musical bells, sistrums and maracas, etc.). The children will be taught to discover the world of sounds through motor activities, use of voice, active listening, manipulation of materials, drawings, etc. Little by little, out of the “primitive chaos” will emerge the characteristics of sound (beat, volume, intensity, acoustic resonance, etc.) and of the relationship of the sounds (rhythm, silence, pause, polyphony, harmony, etc.).
