Classical Music Courses

The new legislation in music education equates the Italian Conservatories to the Universities entrusting them the preparation of students of higher level. The law no. 508 abolishes the old official courses and gives the Conservatories the task to organize academic courses to grant I or II level Diploma equivalent to Bachelor or Master Degree.

The SMM offers Pre-Academic Courses to improve instrumental, vocal skills and theory necessary to enter the three-year course. The SMM Pre Academic courses follow the same program of all the Italian Conservatories. The courses are divided into 3 groups (2 years course each), include major and complementary subjects and are taught by licensed professionals who guarantee the students the highest competence. At the end of each year course the students can take the exams to get the Certificates of Proficiency, useful for the admission to the Academic courses.
