The History

The Scuola Musicale di Milano (SMM) was founded in October 1891 on initiative of some Milanese citizens that desired to assure an education to their children. Since then it has changed a lot of sites, all in the hearth of Milan.
But it still preserves its place in the teaching music field, besides the city’s greatest musical institutions....


Formative Plan

At the beginning the aim of the Scuola Musicale di Milano was to promote the music education of young people, but then its offer has extended:
- to the development and improvement of the artistic talents of any level and age as conductors, concert artists and highly qualified teachers, in a national and international wide-ranging overview....
